At this moment, I am a 60 year old lady living with a 61 year old husband of 41 years. I have a loving son, Scott, who is mentally challenged (aka mentally retarded), and a beautiful daughter, Dawn who lives near Boston with her husband and son. I never understood what all the hoopla was about being a grandparent - now I do! I am the poster child for the obnoxious old lady with photos in hand!

TIME TO STOP WHINING AND APPRECIATE WHAT WE HAVE!

Just one more day and the hub-bub of the holidays will be behind us. For some, that is a "downer", for others, a relief! I suppose I am a blend of both -

As I try to finish up some of the projects I need to complete - I received this link to youtube and a video I have seen before - one I NEEDED to see again.

Each of us has moments when we think God has over-estimated our capability. Perhaps he gave this burden to the wrong person because I think I am a pretty good person and certainly did not deserve some of the rocks that have been thrown my way...

Then I watch Patrick Henry Hughes and his remarkable family and I hang my head in shame! I have a long way to go to improve my attitude and this video has once again set my head straight on the right path!

Take a minute and watch, you will not be wasting your time! (if the link will not work, just try to find Patrick Henry Hughes on You Tube.. the family video history is the best!

God Bless and Happy New Year Ya'All!!

WHOOPIE! ALMOST CHRISTMAS! BRING IT ON!!

Seven days and counting -- yup that is what we have left. It might be more traumatic if I counted the "to do" things - but I have decided to blank that out. It is either blank it out or take up drinking!

I have officially finished shopping - and the last on-line purchase arrived today and was promptly shoved in a gift bag - that ends the wrapping part too. I am hopefull no last minute brain surges reminds me of that special person I forgot to remember! Bring out the charity fruitcake - just in case.

Scott, dutifully, sits under the tree every day to make sure the packages with his name are still there. (He does not care if they say "to or from" ... he just looks for "Scott".

Dawn and her family arrive next Tues! Yeah!! I am sure it will be hectic - lots of energy (on the kids part) - lots of love all around.

So blessed am I! If I have forgotten to send anyone a card, or verbally wish a Merry Christmas, I'll do it now :

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL IN THE COMING YEAR!!
